TransAtlantic Shipping AB select PG for Ballast Water Treatment

Another two shipsets Hyde Guardian Ballast Water Treatment Systems were secured for the newbuilds VS 4622 AHTS's for TransAtlantic Shipping AB, under construction at Ast. Zamakona in Spain.

The Hyde Guardian BWTS's are proving to be highly competitive, and through its flexible and cost efficient installation and operations is regarded desireable for PG's type of tonnage. Delivery for H/N 669 is Q1/2010, whereas H/N 670 will be delivered Q3/2010

 

January 2010 - III

PG Ballast Water Treatment Conference at Runde Miljøsenter

Related to the expected ratifications of the new IMO Resolution for BWT, PG set up a conference addressing Shipowners / Operators, Naval Architects and Shipyards January 28th 2010 at the

Runde Environmental Research Centre (RMSAS) outside Aalesund. The conference was visited by close to 100 participants, and was rated with high notes by key customers. NRK ( National Radio and TV ) also had coverage (Børge Nakken / Farstad on NRK ) 

 

 

 

 

  

  

Nils-Roar Hareide / Manager RMSAS present Runde Miljøsenter and their activities

Dr. Annelise Chapman / Marine Biologist RMSAS whom has significant experience from research within the field of invasive species in the maritime environment,

Roger Kvalsund / Marine Biologist RMSAS with a topic on Watertransport within the Fish Farming Industries,

Roy Norum / present the scope & concept of PG towards these applications, 

Jim Mackay of Hyde Guardian will present their latest experiences and solutions to the issue of BWTS, and

Terje Gløersen / Norwegian Shipowners Association will inform of the status of the new IMO Resolutions, the National Regulations of July 1st 2010, and present the Norwegian tax-scheme related to pre-legislation-investments into such solutions on newbuilds and existing tonnage.

Pacific Ocean order PG-package for OSV newbuilding

Jingjiang Nanyang SY / China is contracted to build a high end OSV for Pacific Ocean, which will become comprehensively equipped by PG for Liquid Cargo Handling System and Engine Room Pumps. Delivery scheduled for Q3/2010

PG Compressor package for FMC Kongsberg Subsea AS

PG has secured a contract for a compact compressor package consisting of a high speed integrally geared single-stage Sundyne LMC341 centrifugal compressor, surge detection system and VSD drive. The unit is to be used as a high pressure air compressor. Delivery is set for June 2010

 

Sundyne compressors are designed for heavy-duty service in gas processing applications and is designed to meet the requirements of our customers. API 614 & 617 compliant designed for 5-years uninterrupted service
